First of all, thanks for checking this out. Know that I write this blog with a humility brought about by Ecclesiastes 12.12, “Of making many [blogs] there is no end, and much study wearies the body.” But I still trust that it is a profitable medium for communication, and another opportunity to give glory to God and his way.

My name is Ben Hulst. I’m a child of God, husband, father of four, and minister of Comstock Christian Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, MI. My great desire is to guide people and join with people on their journey with Christ. God has called me to communicate and live out his gospel truth. May this blog help in that calling.

The title comes from Paul’s beautiful hope in Romans 8.19 – “The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.” Creation is longing. Our world is longing. Our hearts are longing. My hope for this blog is that Jesus Christ may receive glory through my reflections and that it may challenge readers to consider the truth claims of his person and message. May it nurture an eager expectation so that we pray “Lord Jesus, come quickly.”
